Carol Denise Wooten, mezzo soprano

CAROL DENISE WOOTEN’S   contribution to the art of music was enticed by several encouraging teachers and by applying her studies at the USC School of Performing Arts for several years.  She has participated with and performed in many choirs including the world acclaimed Albert McNeil Jubilee Singers of Los Angeles.  Currently singing with this group, she has toured several countries and performed in many prestigious concert venues; the most recent performance at the Lincoln Center in New York. Carol’s explorations of performing arts spanned a great many other opportunities including her recent debut performance with The Spirit Chorale of Los Angeles and several other notable performances such as the Los Angeles Opera’s Porgy and Bess and the Los Angeles Master Chorale’s performance of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony/Gustavo Dudamel Debut.  Some of her theatrical and motion picture attributes include ‘De Obeah Man’Rosewood and a special appearance in ABC’S production of ‘Extreme Makeover’. Carol is also a current member of the National Association of Negro Musicians, William Grant Still Performing Arts Society , One Foundation and  continues to strive for other horizions in the music world.
